Fast Break

I have to be honest. It has been two days since my last post. I've been more quiet in Twitter. I have been spending too much time in front of the laptop, viewing other blogger's posts, and yet I haven't been commenting on them. The first few signs of blogger's blocks. It's official. I'm burned out. After 11 entries, I am burned out. And that sucks.

I hate to admit it, but as they say, 'Denial is a river in Egypt.' The more I deny that I am experiencing blogger's blocks, the more I will be stuck. So, I'm going to follow my fellow bloggers' advice to battle this blocks, which is to write it out. And remind myself why I started this blog in the first place. But  first of all, I have to ask myself, what made me lose my blogging mojo?

Some of my friends have been asking me lately why I stopped posting. That's kind of funny, because the last time I checked, my last post was dated two days ago. But, I must admit that even I felt that it had been years ago rather than days. Back to the question, the most rational and honest explanation I can give is that I have nothing to post. There's no fashion news in Abu Dhabi to share. And again with the honesty, I don't have inspiration.

Even Carrie Bradshaw gets burned out. ;-)

It makes me feel bad that I don't have anything to share. I feel like I failed, in a way. This blog's daily traffic is just overwhelming that I feel the pressure to come up with something new to blog about everyday. But rather than give you entries that are half-heartedly made, I just decided not to post at all until I already found something to blog about. I hate making this blog a chore, you know, something that you have to do everyday? I have nothing against bloggers who blog 5 times or even more a day. In fact, I feel envious that they never run out of things to talk about. I wish I could do that too.

However, no matter what we do or rather what I do, that is just not in my capabilities. So, instead of feeling sorry for myself, I've searched for ways on how to beat these blocks that I get once in a while, and that would be to create an Editorial Journal. An Editorial Journal is like your average to-do list, except that instead of household chores or assignments or deadlines, you would write about the things you want to talk about in your blog during the week. It's not set in stone, so things may still change. I guess it's just a guide to keep bloggers in (blog) line.

I've come up with ideas that would hopefully keep you guys on your toes, and continue to visit this blog of mine. But, I'm also open to what you guys want to read. After all, this blog is made for you. Is there anything in particular that you want me to write about? Is there an outfit/piece/accessories that you want me to review? What do you want to know? What do you want to see? If they are within my capabilities and this blog's objectives, then I would be more than happy to do so.

And since we're already on the topic of reader-blogger communication, I've been told by some readers that they don't know where they should post their comments. For those of you with the same questions, the comments page is located below every post. Just click the link, and you will be redirected to the entry page with the comment box right below the post.

I have enabled anonymous comments, which means that anyone can comment. You don't need to have a Blogger/Google account. But, identification is still required. :-)

Posting comments on the entries will save you time. It's convenient rather than signing into your email account, and sending me an email. Either way, I would be able to read it. So, please don't hesitate to post a comment or email me if you have any comment/suggestion/query. :)

But for the meantime, I would be planning my editorial journal, so that you guys would stay informed but at the same time, entertained. I will be exploring new blogging techniques, and maybe even new types of blog posts. I'd be off from the virtual world for a while and out in the real world to search for new content and revive my inspiration.

An entry from Patricia YƤgue from Bobble Bee, made me feel a bit better about this situation. Everything that she has written in this entry is so true.

"I personally like, and love for this matter, fashion bloggers that take their time to live before talking about it in their blogs. I like bloggers who experience and “cook” an idea or an opinion before bringing it to their blog. I like bloggers whose real life goes before their virtual one because the latter can lead you to copy-and-paste other people’s ideas; you need time to live your own feelings and experiences before hand.."

In some weird way, I don't feel blocked out anymore. I mean, this is still considered as an entry, right? ;-)
Till the next entry guys! I promise to make it up to you! :-)

On a side note, themazuona turns one month next week! I'm thinking of doing a mini-contest for you guys. It's my simple way to thank all of you who takes time to visit. I'll let you know if I already have something in mind. :-)
